Company History
Industrial Innovations has been providing manufacturing lubrication systems including proportional mixers, sprayers, reclamation equipment and accessories since its founding in 1981. Today, it is recognized as the largest manufacturer of metalworking lubricant proportional/mixers and spray application lubricating systems in the U.S.
The current owner, Troy Turnbull, joined the company in late 2000 as VP of Manufacturing. In 2010 Mr. Turnbull became the President and Sole Owner, helping grow the business through better focus and lean production methods. The company designs and produces thousands of products each year, all done in-house using proven effective engineering principles, reliable component parts, and quality construction methods to deliver optimum performance and quality.
In 2014, Mr. Turnbull expanded his lubrication management solutions footprint within both the die-casting and foundry industries with the purchase of Advance Product Corporation’s automation division. Serving the industry since 1948, Advance has a strong customer base using its reciprocating die sprayers, servo ladlers, robot extractors, temperature control systems and die spray and plunger tip lubricating systems. This new company, now known as Advance Automation LLC is co-located with Industrial Innovations at a newly refurbished facility in Grandville, Mich.
Industrial Innovations’ Pro-Mix and Spra-Rite industrial lubrication equipment product lines are well tested and have proven to be superior with regards to accuracies of the mixture, precise blending of the materials, and pinpoint accuracies for spray application control for continuous service. The company received its first patent in the early 80's for its Pro-Mix proportional mixing system and then received two additional patents for its Spra-Rite Lubricant application system as well as its Airless Z-Nozzle Spray Assembly.
With manufacturers having to meet more stringent environmental standards as well as an emphasis on controlling costs, the company is seeing strong interest in its lubricant purification and reclamation systems, which can help reduce lubrication needs by up to 70% as well as contributing to positive green efforts. However, the company is recognized in the industry for more than just its equipment. Industrial Innovations has established a reputation as a solution-provider, helping customers resolve issues and fix problems that are often overlooked by other companies.
Industrial Innovations’ customer base includes OEM and Tier One companies in a variety of metalworking industries including automotive, appliance, metal processing, housewares, lawn and garden, contract stamping, and more.
